I started at Wachovia; now i'm with a local credit union that gives me interest checking, which I really love.

when the merge happened, everything was okay until Wells Fargo threatened to charge for debit cards. That did it; that's when i moved my funds. I hear if you don't direct deposit (my income is horribly irregular atm) Wells Fargo charges for all checking accounts now. Most times I don't need to withdraw or deposit money, and then I can usually make a trip to their branch, np. It's not that far away.

Love my CU's service, love how they do business. If I ever move out of the area/GA I'll close it down and find a new one, that's how much i like them. ^^

I have been with Bank of America and a credit union for over 40 years. I use my credit union for ca loans and a a share (savings) account. I got my Long Term Care insurance because I was a credit union member. I like the convenience of the branch system in California and Internationally for Bank of america. Although I am treated very well at B of A, I probably get more attention at my credit union.
