  • What does DepositAccounts.com Health Grade mean?

Straightforward account, caring professional staff. Website for account users could be better but it works. There are always people to help.

This West VA bank has an OVERALL INSTITUTION HEALTH grade of C+

does that mean anything? it is FDIC insured. is there any need for concern when investing in this bank over the internet due to this grade or other reviews? or does the FDIC put any concerns to rest?

a different bank can be found here: http://www.depositaccounts.com/banks...bank-pasb.html and is rated A in OVERALL HEALTH, this is a bank in Pennsylvania and also FDIC insured.

going out on a limb here, but has anyone had personal experience with either of these two banking institutions and if so, what are your personal views?

I don't think it is significant if you are looking to open an account. I do think it could be significant if you are looking to invest in the bank. As a depositor, the FDIC insurance would protect you. As an investor, however, I'd want to see a stronger balance sheet and better growth.

    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

thanks! I am only interested in depositing money into their Savings Accounts.

The second bank listed offers 1.5% for under 20K, would it be "normal" to place $19,500 in the Pennsylvania bank (giving a little room to accumulate interest and stay under 20k), and then any money in my savings account over 20k, I just put into the West VA bank? might it be possible to link the accounts for easy transfer? has anyone done anything like this before who may be able to offer me advice?
