  • Good investing solutions for non-residents?

I read about investing a lot and many of you swear by it. I'd like to start this too, in the following months, as soon as my savings are up to what I'm expecting them to be. The problem is that I am not an US resident, so my question is: are there any investment solutions for someone like me? I do have a bank account in the US (we've stayed there for an year and a half), but I am not a resident.

    Any ideas/tips are much appreciated.

There must be options though I don't know what they are. Do you know of any brokerage companies in Romania? You should be able to buy just about any ETF through a brokerage. I'm not sure you can use a US based company though.

We do have some stock exchange, but am not too thrilled with the companies here, so I wouldn't invest in any of them.

Have you looked in to the UAE? Some of the Scots at work have investments here, and I'm certain they don't care about your residency. This is pure capitalism at work (which is both a good and a bad thing, depending on the precise area of discussion).

I'll ask them what they do here. I'm certain they are not invested in the UK for at least some of their options.
