Metal is metal, and I like Pt. Why I like Pt so much is it is quite inert, like gold and plus it is shiny and beautiful too (cannot say the same for gold).
That is all.

* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

If you have your heart set on investing in platinum, then go for it. It's just something that I wouldn't do. I'd be more inclined to look at mining companies, equipment makers, or end users as potential investments.
I guess we'll just have to leave it at that.Brian

now is a bad time to invest in precious metals. Price tends to track inverse to interest rates. Platinum, like silver tends to have a monetary & industrial component to its value, whereas gold tends to be more purely monetary. I think silver is closing in on a market bottom a lot quicker than the other metals. Gold and platinum may have much further to fall percentage wise.
I do think its worth owning as part of a diversified portfolio. Not so much to "make money" as it is an inflationary & commodities hedge.

It is risky I believe, because in such investments your are struggling against people who have years of experience in the business. Don't enter this field unless you are pretty sure of the outcome. or you will be a fish in a sea that is fulled of whales

Didn't invest, but it’s a good work I mean it’s a good thing to invest, but before we start investing we should have a look at the rules, laws and limitations required. If we do not get check on them, then it’s going to become tough.
