That's great, JBin. I wasn't knocking you at all. Your approach is good... I just think a lot of people can't or won't spend that kind of time, so for them a passive, diversified approach is better.
I disagree with you a little bit about your portfolio being less risky because you're invested 40% in cash. You're exposing yourself to both currency risk and inflation risk, assuming you're in for the long haul.
