How much company stock should I carry

    Its about 6% of our pre bonus income and will make up 8% of our net worth next year so I suppose that is within your 5-10% advice.

      Not exactly. You're mixing different measurements. The 5-10% is 5-10% of your investment portfolio, not of your net worth (which also includes your home and other possessions).

      In addition to putting 6% of gross into the stock, what % are you putting into other investments, specifically how much are you saving for retirement?

        Sorry about that, the value I gave you was % from the portfolio, not the net worth.

        As for retirement we are both maxing out our 401k's and Roths, is there anything else we could or should do on that front? After the funding the 401k, Roth, HSA, tax, and stock program there isn't much left that isn't required as living expenses.

            Right now we are at 25.8% of gross excluding the company match and profic sharing contribution. If we include that then it bumps up to 37.9% of gross.
