What a surprise. I'm amazed anyone uses these people.

Tell me about it DS... I am STILL waiting on my funds to get to Vanguard (it's now been a week). I can see my EJ account is depleted except for the massive amounts they are charging me to transfer. Ridiculous. I am more and more glad each day that I switched. Now to get out of those crap funds they pushed on me and to consolidate into lower index Admiral funds... I can't wait!

If you have your original documents for EJ, I suggest you check to see if transfer costs were detailed. If not, you can ask they be rescinded, explaining you will ask the government watchdog Securities Commission to assist you for speedy processing and rebate of expenses not detailed. They are usually surprised when clients push back, pleasant but firm asking closing expenses be negotiated. Isn't this what the public is upset about? Brokerages who are seen as cynical, manipulative, privatizing profit and socializing losses.

Unfortunately, it's posted on their website. It's $95 per account, right there clear as day. I don't really have the basis to go after them.
