  • Filing a complaint against bank?

Besides the Dept. of Banking and Insurance within the state, is there a Federal regulatory power I can file a complaint with?

I have about 3 specific issues with Bank of America at this point.

If you've got a credit card complaint, the CFPB is now accepting and investigating them via their new website. Eventually they will deal with lots of different kinds of complaints, but at the moment they're only accepting complaints about credit cards. You can also file complaints with the FTC.

If you go to the Federal Reserve Consumer they will connect you with or forward your complaint to the appropriate federal regulator for the bank or institution involved in your complaint. I don't know if they handle all types of disputes, but contact them and see if they can help you.

First of all, try to settle the problem directly with your bank or financial institution by writing a letter to the branch and corporate office of Bank of America. If it is not working then, you can file a complaint against banks in Federal Reserve Consumer help by online, via fax or email or mail. If the complaint is financial in nature, you can file a complaint with the FDIC as well. The following details needs to be include in the complaint. They are,
        •Name, address and telephone number.
•Complete name, address of the bank involved in your complaint.
•Names of those you dealt with the banks, including dates.
        •A description about the complaint.
