  • Investment Capital That Does Not Run Out?? -please Advise!!!

    Hi, Im Looking For The Right Term/Word To Use To Describe This Particular Type Of Investment -But I dont Know What It Would Be Called - Maybe You Can Tell Me If I Describe It To You ?? - OK Here Goes : Lets Say I Had A Lump Sum Of 15000 Dollars And Invested The Entire Lump Sum Into Some Sort Of Investment And In Return I Got A Certain Amount Of Money Back Every Month Or Every Year - Lets Just Say For Example $300 Dollars - But Heres The Deal : Even After I Have Reached My Intial Capital Of $15000 Dollars - I STILL Would Get The $300 Dollars Every Month/Year -EVEN AFTER THE CAPITAL HAS BEEN EXHAUSTED !!!! -CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS WOULD BE CALLED???? ? - PLEASE ANSWER!!!

      jpg is correct that you are describing an annuity. Keep in mind that the vast majority of annuities are tremendous rip-offs. They tend to have very high fees, make a ton of money for the salesperson and aren't a great deal for the customer. There are some exceptions but in general it is best to avoid them.
