  • 10,000 lazy euros - how to make them work?

Hi, I've got 10,000 lazy euros on a 1.5% interest savings account in germany. i'm living in australia. i dont want to transfer them over coz the EUR is so low. here in oz i get 6% interest.

what can i do to make these 10,000 eur work for me, instead of being eaten away from inflation?

    thanks for your suggestions,

    cheers

German banks bought a lot of bonds of questionable assets and dubious value from Euro countries. We're all worried about the PIGS [Portugal,Ireland, Greece, Spain] since only Portugal is trying to go austere. Is there a European Dividend Fund that you like? Are they doing Exchange Traded Funds [ETFs]

We like OZ, the economy seems efficient, what investment do you like there?
