I'm new to investing, but have been following Uranium stocks and etfs since the disaster in Japan. They're all down, most near the 52 week lows. Specifically I've been following Cameco, the world's 1st or 2nd largest Uranium miner, and URA etf. Cameco is near the 52 week at $26.60, it's lost 37.63% in the last 3 months. URA etf is the fund I've been following. 20% of its holdings are Cameco. It's currently at $12.85, down from $20.96 before the disaster in Japan. Anyone else buying into the idea that the Uranium market will rebound and it's a good time to buy?

I'm not too keen on investing in metals, but when you say take physical delivery, do you mean actually having possesion of uranium ore? A radioactive substance. Is that legal? Is it safe?Originally posted by KTP View PostIt makes sense.
I would suggest like gold and silver that you take physical delivery of the uranium because you can never trust those paper certificates.
I would assume that any uranium that is worth anything on the market would be refined at least to some point. Wouldn't that make it a bit dangerous to have laying around?Brian

I traded alot of commodities before, and once I mistakenly let my Lean Hog futures expire and the next thing I knew, my neighbors called the police on me because I had 100 Lean little piggies grunting and snorting and smelling up my back yard.Originally posted by KTP View PostIt makes sense.

I do buy the idea, but I don't know if it's the right time to buy. You've been waiting and watching for a while. I recommend staying that course. When these stocks bounce off their bottom by about 5-10%, you might consider the opportunity. Yes, you leave a little $ on the table, but you have a bit of positive momentum and are in less danger of having them fall a lot further.Originally posted by iracer7 View PostAnyone else buying into the idea that the Uranium market will rebound and it's a good time to buy?
