Hi everyone! I just came across some information on the Monetta Young Investors Fund, and was wondering if any of you had heard of it, and if so, what your thoughts are on it. I know it hasn't been around long.

There is no real track record on them yet. I'd likely open a 529 plan that allows investment discretion, and choose a different fund with a longer term track record.
May I ask what got you interested in this fund?
Morningstar (a mutual fund evaluator) seems to think they have good prospects: MYIFX Monetta Young Investor, mutual funds, quote, price - Morningstar
But I would likely just use index funds with a proper time horizon.
