I find those self-rightous a-holes that proclaim the "sanctity" of marriage when there is such a high divorce rate hilarious. Let alone the numbers of people just living together without ever getting hitched.
My stepdad was excommunicated from the Church when he got divorced from his first wife and married my mom. She was, as he described her, not a nice lady. His mother was married to 13 different men, if you can believe it, during her lifetime. She was a flake. But she also died a Catholic and had a funeral in the Church. She divorced #12 because he had stinky feet.
My mom has been married all her adult life. But to 3 different men. She is not flakey. Her father, who was married to my grandmother for 67 years, told her she was a fool to stay in a bad relationship.
