Buy and sell stock under a company.

I want to register a limited company and the only business of the company is to buy and sell stocks. I am doing it because the money is a pool. Is it legal?

If it is, what's on tax? The capital gain is the corporate revnue. Expenses could be office rental, trading cost, salary, and etc. Net income is the revenue minus expenses. Sould the company be taxed on revenue or net income?
