  • YTD performance

I rebalanced earlier today... and it was first time I had looked inside accounts since Dec 31.

Wow... better than 2008 thus far!!

I had many things which were up 30%+

    Emerging markets
    Global Tech
    High Yield bonds

And most things were positive in 1-6% range
Is this typical for 2009? I have not been reading much finance lately...

My rebalance consisted of dropping all contributions which were in assets above 30% ytd returns to 1% and then moving the new deposits to cash and bonds and large caps.

Just trying to avoid buying high.

Hey, Jim. Good to "see" you. I was wondering where you were.

Yes, 2009 has been pretty good, though not nearly enough to make up for 2008. At least things are moving in the right direction.

Some things diverted my mind from money, not always a bad thing.

14 month olds keep me busy too!
