Hello forum. I have a quick question that perhaps someone can help with.
I've been buying US Savings Bonds (E, EE, I) for years as a long term investment. As I don't consider them part of my regular portfolio, they've been a decent way to put away money for a distant rainy day.
I continue to do so, but honestly, the interest rates are pretty abysmal. There are a few other factors that make them less attractive at the moment. Does anyone know of another form of bonds, preferably government backed (municipal, state, territorial, or federal) that features a physical, paper bond?
That may seem like an odd question, but for this particular savings plan, it is important. Thank you very much for your time.
