  • DOW going 10,000 or below 5,000?

Just wondering what the feeling is out there. I've heard talk of a 10,000 dow and talk that this is the last bump up before a total tank down below 5,000. Any thoughts out there?

I just flipped a coin and it landed heads, so I think it will go to 10000.

Personally, I think we've seen the bottom.

Pffffft. Your methods are no match for my monkey with a magic 8 ball. Can your coin say, "Definitely maybe"? Yeah, didn't think so.

          I seriously doubt it.

I also doubt we've seen the bottom yet. These things play out over time - there is more suffering to come IMO. It never happens in a straight line. There are always bumps up, etc.

              HAHAHAHAHAHA bravo, sir. bravo.

That actually reminds me, that's the other thing I'm missing... I already have an "Easy button" (from Staples) for myself at work, but I also need to find a magic 8-ball. Those things are just about as reliable as any other decision maker, so might as well not work harder to only get the same decision ("Definitely maybe").

Oh, I forgot the topic at hand... I do expect that we're coming to a level-off point. I won't try to call a bottom of last week or next week, but in a broad perspective, I think within the next couple months we'll probably be working our way back upward again. (really, it's probably just irrational hope, but I've at least convinced myself of it)... So I'll respond with a non-committal "none of the above"

This brightened my day. Thank you.

Found this on wall of a employee break room
                  we the willing
                  led by the unknowing
                  are doing the impossible
                  for the ungrateful
                  we have done so much
                  for so long
                  with so little
                  that we are now qualified
                  to do anything
                  with nothing

Maybe there is hope for the markets and america.

Ask him if he knows who wrote it. It's been around so long it could have come from the builder of the pyramids.
