Stocks taking a beating today.

S&P 500 below 800 again. People fear the recession may be deapening -- stimulus or not.

Of the Dow, only Wal-mart is performing today.

I've noticed that the market tends to tank on the day something is passed on capital hill. So, perhaps it's just intra-day trading at work, especially when considering that VIX is still high.

Plus, for all we know, maybe the market might stage a last minute rally.... Don't know yet at this point.

My trading is very close to a limit buy though, so I don't think this is all bad.

I did not know until I saw this post. No reason to watch the markets every day. Our IRAs are turned off right now- we are keeping cash high for various reasons right now.

Wall street has no confidence in the package put forth( I can't even write stimulus). I started a thread a couple months back about 8000 being the bottom. I didn't anticipate the idiotic moves ahead. Time to get ready to ride out a long disastrous storm.

Well I guess since it isn't a big cash giveaway to big business, or huge tax break to the rich, or the elimination of capital gains taxes, then I suppose wall street won't like it.

I think 2 wives would be easier than 2 10 month old twins half the time (usually the half where the wake me up at 5 am).
