The 8 year bear market is coming

I've heard this stated before: 100% of 10 year periods in the stock market have had a gain and 97% of 5 year periods have had a gain. I'm going to stay the course.

Exactly! Plus, the best time to be a buyer is when there's blood in the streets (meaning, when most of the people are scared silly). We're actually living right now with a very oversold stock market domestically, as seen by the major jump when oil dropped last week. Excellent buying opportunities exist in this market. I'll bail out if and when I see people like Buffet stop being buyers. That hasn't happened yet.

You have to remember that you don't have control of the conomy and that no matter what the situation is, good or bad, the thing that you can do is save as much as you possibly can.
