Would you buy this stock????

Here is this stock..........AIRTRAN ( AAI )...is it worth the risk considering its falling price...Its definately at its lowest now.....

Somebody told me that...why would you invest in that AAI airline...with this cold economic climate airline industry is going through...They just laid off 500+ employees yesterday.

abumhira - You've posted a number of times asking about specific stocks. I think you'll find that there aren't a lot of individual stock investors at this site. Most of us are mutual fund afficianados.

I'm sure there are plenty of investment sites where people discuss and debate individual stocks. This just isn't one of those sites which is why you aren't getting many responses to your posts.

Personal opinion regarding your question - Several airlines recently have gone bankrupt and ceased operations and plenty more are teetering on the brink. I don't think I'd be in a hurry to buy any of them right now, though if you were lucky enough to pick the one that was going to make it through and succeed, you could make a nice amount down the line. It would definitely be a speculative bet and I think I'd rather take my money to the blackjack table in Atlantic City. The odds are better there.
