  • Who thinks AMR is a bargain

I wondering if anyone thinks AMR will have a huge increase if the oil bubble bursts?

I'm considering buying a thousand dollars worth just in case. Looking for imput.

You could be right, but I would pre-determine what losses I am comfortable with and set a stop.

Look back to when oil was 90-100. What was the value of AMR? With the exception of LUV (Southwest) and a couple of the smaller ones, airlines are nothing more than financial stocks. The age of US planes are very high compared to other countries.

I wouldn't buy it. I'd stay away from Airlines stocks in this environment, unless you're buying it for long.

All stocks are a bargain right now. The question is when will they pull up from their nosedive. Maybe not until 2015 or later.

I was looking at swiping the 1000 out of my EF for a chance to get that stock that will bounce back and put it to good use. I look at it as vegas money better spent. But i'm not sure AMR is the one to try. Because it's at 4 to 5 bucks, down from more than fifty in years past, I was thinking, maybe it will rebound nicely if oil colapses. I think oil will eventually.
