I would like to calculate the difference in returns between funds with different ERs. I would like to use Excel to do this. Unfortunately, I'm not enough of a math wiz to do it myself. I would like my spreadsheet to look like this in Column A:
1 Fund Name
2 Initial Investment
3 Annual Contributions
4 # of years Held
5 Expected Annual Return
6 Annual Expense Ratio
7 Balance at end of period
And then in columns B-X I would put in different funds' ERs to compare how that affects returns. So what do I put in B7 and C7 to get the answer I'm looking for? Is there a Function that will tell me what I want to know? And if so, how do I use it?
I'm pretty good with Excel, but this is outside my skillset.
