    I don't mind spending a little change for highly useful information. But I think I will hop over to our small town library and see what they got.

      If they don't have the books you want, ask if they can get them by interlibrary loan. That is generally a free service.

        Very small libraries may not offer Interlibrary loan service, or may charge a relatively high fee for it. As Disneysteve points out, it may be free or very low cost. Really depends on your local library budget.

        That being said, if the library knows that people want a book which they do not own, they are likely to buy it. So if your small town library does not have these books, let the staff know that you would like to read them. Sometimes they will buy the book and contact you when it arrives at the Library.
