    some direction....

I just spoke with my AIG/Valic advisor
he suggested I contact a brokerage firm such as Edward Jones
I did a search for Edward Jones in my area & called the closest
    one to where I live

Spoke with a very nice & informative gentleman
He is going to do some research on this tomorrow & call me back
He shows Goldman is handling this IPO offerring, which he says is good
because it won't be handled like the Google IPO
He said if the price comes in below $42 it means not much interest in the offerring ,
if it comes out a little above means good interest in it

I will need to open an account with Edward Jones - no charge!
so to be prepared to move when the IPO is available
typically EJ requires minimum purchase of 100 shares on IPO's
he is going to check if that is the case with the Visa IPO
EJ does NOT charge a separate fee for IPO share purchases
    - it's built into the price of the share
you have 3 days to pay for your purchase from date of purchase
(and they take plastic - lol!)

Here is a great article that really lists out all of the pro's and con's of this upcoming IPO, along with how to buy, etc.

If you are at all interested in this stock, read this article:

Visa IPO success hinges on share price

Just bear in mind that for this IPO, there will be a much higher premium than there was for mastercard. Other than that, it looks pretty good. There is a 11% growth rate in global electronic transactions and the only thing that looks pressing is some legal battles brought up by some merchants and mastercard.

AND a little more direction .....
the nice gentleman at Edward Jones I spoke with called me back
he did some research and found out that
ONLY investment bankers will have access to offer the Visa IPO shares
ie; Wachovia, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan
