Where did the money go?

When I request money out of my paypal account, and it takes 3-5 (usually closer to 5) days to show up in my checking account, where has the money been??

Who is using it interest free for 3-5 days??

We can get a man to the moon and back, but we can't get money transferred faster than 3-5 days???

Paypal will express it to you for a fee or do the slower transfer of funds for free.

Like most businesses, banks don't do much for free. While you are waiting for your cash, they are able to use that money to earn their own interest, use as collateral for new loans, etc.

The bank..I sometimes wonder if they split the time..or if the rule is the bank transferring out gets those days...
