  • Euros instead of Dollars/Euro online banks?

Any of you know of any online banks that let you put your money in euros instead of us dollars? Or of any euro online banks?

Do ya'll think the Euro will continue to gain value over the dollar?

ING Direct > Home > The world's leading direct savings bank

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I was just brianstorming. Maybe I can find a bank that invest in euros. Every other week i'm reading something about the dollar losing value while the euro gains value.

I was wondering what my options are. Maybe an ira where the mutual funds target the euro market? Not just ira's though, cd's and money martet accounts, etc...

Well, this is exactly what foreign currency denominated stocks and bonds are for, aka, "international exposure." It works exactly the same way - a company in Europe is making profits in Euros and stocks are priced in Euros. So if the dollar goes down and the stock price rises in euros, your money is rising from both the stock price and the Euro going up.

Or, if you really want to you could make a play on the currency directly. Just trade in your dollars for Euros.
