Online Banking Questions

As you can see my member name tells what I do fulltime. I have several bank accounts still opened in my home state. I have a questions about online banking such as these E-Money Market accounts. First, are they safe linking up to your account with another financial institution?

I'm not sure which company you're going with, but I have my ING account linked to my primary checking account at a local brick-and-mortar bank and it's been completely safe and reliable the past four years.

Thank you for the response. I was looking at AMTrust or GMAC. They both have some nice rates. Quite a bit more than I have made on my money in the last year. Need to do something different.

I have a GMAC account and I've had no problems with them whatsoever. They have excellent customer service and their website is straightforward and easy to use.

I have been doing online banking for 5 years now.. through my brick & mortal local banks as well as HSBC, ING, and Paypal. I've never had a problem with linking to them and have always found them quite reliable. It takes a few days for your money to move from one to another, but thats a trade off for the convenience of not having to get in a car and drive down to another bank. I've always linked all of my accounts to each other.

I know someone who uses virtual bank - they said you get your own personal banker to help with all your needs...thinking of switching...anyone heard of them?

I just went to their website and VirtualBank and Lydian Bank & Trust are the banking divisions of Lydian Private Bank. They are a federally chartered FDIC-insured financial institution focused on providing banking and wealth management services nationwide.
