I tried to open an ING Direct account last week and was going to use my Chase checking account for the transfer. I waited the full 4 days but never saw the ING verification deposit into my checking account. Once the 4 days had passed, I received this email from ING....

What does this mean?
Unfortunately, since the initial deposit you used to open your new ING DIRECT Account was returned, we had to close your account and delete your external checking account link. If you have any questions about the returned transaction, please contact your financial institution.
To re-open this account or open a new account, just give us a call at
