  • Emigrant account?

    Can someone please explain to me what an emigrant account is? I wanted to open a savings account but I keep seeing stuff about emigrant accounts and ING somethign anothers. I am new to all this and feel so lost. LOL I tried to find info about it online but it was all just place wanting me to open an account, which I don't want to do until I know what it is. LOL Thanks guys for the help. You all seem to be so nice and I can't wait to get to know you all better.

      They're all high-yield online money market accounts. You can go here to find out the best rates on those and other things banking:

      Your bank has a mortage rate. Bankrate has a better one. Access verified data and personalized tools on the platform built to put your financial goals first.


      Click on "CDs and Investments", then "MMAs", "MMAs/Saving Accounts" then "Search by 100 Highest Yields". I know it sounds like a lot but it's not too bad. That'll give you a list of online banks that currently offer the highest yielding MMA's. You can then click on the individual bank to be directed to their website to see more about their offerings.
