  • Does any one use the Apple Bank: Grand Yield Savings

I am looking to go beyond Amboy @ 5.25% and was looking at Apple.

    How is there CS?
How are transfer times (perferably from/to east coast people, all welcome)

Other boards say they use cash edge like HSBC are transfers the same?

    Any other comments??

    RJB:

I just got my approval from GYD/Apple today, so now I'm waiting for them to put the tiny test deposits into my account. Check either this thread or my blog for info regarding turnaround times (I'm also east coast).

I was wondering what you meant by "go beyond Amboy @ 5.25%" as the GYD offering is 5.25% as well. Do you just mean to use another? Otherwise, I don't see what else one would gain from GYD v. Amboy.

I did mean just another one @ 5.25%.

Being that I live in the heart of Amboy country and see all of the problems up front. I mentioned in another thread about there 2 biggest defaulters, both of which will take years to clear up if ever. I also see/work with some of their other borrowers who will tell you they are in trouble. NJ's bubble has popped and we are still feeling the shockwave.

I am personnally leary about amboy and most local/small regional bank who ahve tremendious amount of commerical RE loans/ ARM loans coming due. I know based on the house prices around us that we are looking at probablly 25% default.

        Sorry OT,

Plus my wife would just f****** kill me if we had to use the FDIC insurance. There would go my turn at managing our $$
