I have AC only in the bedroom and i leave it at 77, which is enough dry out and cool the air to something tolerable but won't cause the northeast to blackout again! Ceiling and box fans elsewhere help too.
Last month's electric bill was the first higher bill i had, for $80 something dollars. Not as bad as i thought, especially as they raised the rates.
