It seems to me that at one point (granted it could have been a while ago) that Walmart used to put out circulars to show what was on sale. They don't even list it on their website. Is there anyway to know other than wandering around the store?

A multipage Wal-Mart ad was in my mail today/

It costs money to put out circulars, so I for one amd glad they dont put out that many.
But I do agree, they should add more sale info to the website.

I never go to Walmart. They have a difficult time processing my coupons. They are not that cheap. Their store brand is HORRIBLE and I can get things so much cheaper by purchasing HEB store brand from HEB (which is excellent) for the food items. Walmart also stinks.

For the non-food items I usually shop at luxury places because they are actually cheaper when they are 75% off (I only shop 75% off racks) and the quality is supreme. The salespeople are friendly and you don't have to worry about crowd.

I've never even heard of HEB - it's a southern store?

I have no problem with the Wal-Mart store brand - but their customer service is terrible. We went there to purchase a bike for my son's birthday. It was on the clearance rack in front of the store. They had to page a manager four times before someone came to unlock the bike from the rack. When we got in to pay, it rang up wrong and - you guessed it - they had to page a manager another four times, holding up the entire express check-out line. Ugh.
I see their store ads about once a month. They don't come with the paper, but separately with other ads.

My husband works at a bicycle shop. Practically every single person who brought their bikes in for repairs brought their bikes from Wal-Mart.

Their bikes are totally fine, but they purposefully do not assemble the bikes right and they do not put lube on the bikes while assembling them. As a result, most of the bikes they sell meet untimely deaths.

Customer service does leave something to be desired. My wife (pregnant with our second child) and 3 year old daughter went in to purchase me a grill for Father's Day and couldn't get anyone to help her get the large, heavy box off the top (?) shelf. She asked one employee who said they would send over someone who worked in that dept. THey never came. Another customer finally helped her get it down and then they wouldn't help her out with it to the car (no one available). They also messed up at the checkout and told her she had to go to customer service to correct the problem THEY created. All told, 45 minutes to "run" into walmart and get a grill. On Walmarts behalf though, I wrote an email expressing my disappointment and the asst. mgr. did call me personally, spent 15 minutes on the phone with me and left a gift card for $20 in my wifes name at the customer service counter. At least he tried to make it right.

Wow, I'm really impressed. I wrote to Wal-Mart once with a complaint and never even got the courtesy of a response. Maybe I should try again with my latest complaint...

                        AMEN!

One time, I was in line at walmart. The cashier got into a fight with the person behind me. They screamed at each other and tossed all my stuff around, breaking things. It was a huge scene. I just walked out.

I'll now go to walmart less then once a month. I get tons of stuff that I can actually get cheap, like paper goods, and if the lines are short, I'll actually buy it. However, if I get upfront, or can't find exactly what I want. I just walk out. Saving 1 penny on a toilet paper isn't worth waiting 25 minutes in a stinky line only to deal with a nasty underpaid cashier working a tiresome third shift. I've actually left whole carts full of stuff in line and walked out because they take too long.
