Upon exiting a movie, I found a $5 bill sitting on a seat. Since our row was empty there was no one to claim it. My boyfriend and I were excited, since it paid for my movie
I once found a coin purse on the back of a toliet in a Restroom of a store in a shopping center. It was Christmas time, and hundreds of dollars were in it. I figured it was someone's Christmas money and turned it in to the service desk, leaving my name and number in case it wasn't claimed. I was never called, so I assume it was claimed, but if that were me I'd be in tears. So I hope whoever lost it found their Christamas!
I did find a dollar on the bottom of a pool while playing my 'look for a pepple' game. Weird place to find a dollar.
When leaving the post office about a month ago I found 4 full books of first class stamps. I felt bad for the person who lost them I figure it was probably an elderly person. But, I was happy to find them. Now everytime I go to the post office I am scanning the ground.
Well I found a wallet in the post office too. I took it home and called the lady. Because often when you find something valuable and you turn it in, the person that lost is, never gets it back. I know that for a fact because I worked in a restaurant and things that got turned in just misteriously disappeared.
So, when I find something, I call the person and let them come and get it. This lady was happy to get her wallet back!!
I also found a credit card at the post office and I tracked the lady down and she came and picked it up. There are some honest people
I found a purse, 2 credit cards in two different places and a driver's license just yesterday. I got them all returned to the rightful owner, except for the driver's license. I could have mailed it, but it was from Montana and I thought maybe they would come back to the store. I gave it to the manager of the store.
me and my mom found a wallet in the bathroom with several hundred dollars in it once... we were wondering if we could find the owner or whether we should turn it in when we saw an obviously upset lady hurrying towards the bathroom... when she came out we flagged her down and returned her wallet... good thing too... she was a tourist visiting from japan and that would have totally wrecked her vacation...
similar things have happened several times and i've always followed the golden rule... especially as i've lost my wallet several times and several times had it returned (sometimes sans money but that's ok)... i didn't usually keep more than $20 in there during my High school years anyways but i hate having to replace ID's... haven't lost it recently but i still think back to how thankful i was when i would get my wallet back...did have one stolen out of my moms car a couple years ago and i hope that whoever stole it was happy with the $7 in and then got bit on their butt... i really do believe in karma... do good things brings good thing, do bad things and it will come back and bite you in the apple... lol...
