Hi, I'm in PA.

We have central air. If it is going to be over 80, I set it and leave it on at about 72-74. Central AC needs to just be left on for it to cycle and work properly.
We both have allergies so I don't open the windows in the spring. Can't put fans in the windows or end up sneezing constantly.

I went until late May without the AC, the summer started later this year in Oklahoma but unfortunately now its in the triple digits. If I'm hot I have to have the AC on or my skin starts to break out, thanks to my eczema.

i can definately understand the eczema problem... not only do i have eczema but i also have uncommonly (according to a dermatologist) sensitive skin sometimes... my skin has been fairly irritable most of the summer... it actually welted up in large patches when i scratched it... the worst i ever had it... so we've been turning the AC on when it's really hot and at night to help us fall asleep... other than that, we're pretty lucky as several factors keep our house cool... we have a good shade trees that shelter downstairs and upstairs our location is particularly good for the ocean/mountain breezes that keep us from baking.
i did see the news though and realize we are relatively lucky that we're only in the 80's and maybe 90's with humidity...

so hot, I could fry my eggs on the sidewalk (if I had a sidewalk and actually liked fried eggs...which I dont).... sorry, Ill blame the 'lame' on the heat.

Forcast for 102 today and 105 on Sat.....grr....then comes the rain thank goodness!! 90's next week.

This is the hottest time of the year for us....after mid august the trend starts downward, that's if the weather does the 'normal' trend.

Heat index of 110 today. (Here in MN dew point is as important as temp. so they factor them together some way and end up with a heat index.) Air is set at 76 and as frugal as I'm am, it's not budging until it cools off! (I blame being pregnant, but with temps like this I think I'd have the air on anyway!)

We are having low 90's every day. The a/c downstairs is set on 76 and doesn't run too much but it sure gets hot upstairs, where I spend most of my time. (computer and treadmill) I have the a/c set on 80 up here.

we are in IA its about 110 about 120 with the humidity today!!!
