This Saturday is my wedding. I have done a good part of it myself, or with the help of family. My sister in law made my boquet, that is her wedding present to me. I still need to get corsages for the mothers. I paid $275 for 2 cakes that will feed up to 120 people. I bought my own paper goods, ingredents for punch, mints and nuts. My dress is new, but came off e-bay for $19.00. The girls dresses (my daughters and neices) came from Stages after easter 50% off sale. I made my own centerpeices, did my own candles, made my garters and flower basket. I added it up the other day, and I have less than $500 in the wedding for 120 people.
No photographer-but several friends with digital cameras are taking pictures and will copy them to a disc for us. We will then print what we want off.
My future daughter is getting the food for the rehersal dinner from the resturant where she used to work. The owner loves her, and she is getting the food at cost. (Groom is taking care of that). The wedding is in our church, so there is no expense involved there. The church has linen tableclothes, punch bowels....so I don't have to rent any.
Last night I realized I over bought candles, so I think I have about $25 I can take back and get a refund on.
I think I did pretty good.
