Re: Describe the oldest piece of clothing you own

i have a red corchet dress that has been passed along through our family for about 63 years. My mom wore it when she was about two sorry mom for outing you!). Each of my sisters, cousins, and nieces have wornthe dres. Now they think i ma going to have kids so it has been pased along to me. I am single, not dating anyone and don't planto have kids but i currently have it.

Crocheted slippers my grandma made me when i was two. (I am 31 now). A green terry cloth robe from grandma that i would wear at her house growing up. i just can;t get rid of it.

Or and a blue coat from junior high of hich school, that ihave to have sprayed twice a year to try and keep it water proof. It is getting tossed this year if i can lose some more weight and get soemthing else. It is about 15 years old. It was a christmas present from my mom.

Well happy birthday to my pink woven cotton tank top with finger pleats down the front. I specifically remember buying it for $4 in June 1985. So this month it turns 21 years old.

Hand knitted Baby Layette that was dumped when my ex-next doors neighbor move after living in the same house for 65 years. I think this was made for her daughter who is now in her fifties. The I oldest item in my own wardrobe that I still wear a dark pink 2-piece suit that I wore last Tuesday Morning Tea at Fernberg It was my mother’s but as we could wear the same style of clothes, I keep it & she bought some 20 years ago.

As I type I am wearing a skirt I made for my daughter when she was in high school. It has an elastic waist or I would never fit it. She was and is skinny and I am very not thin. I guess even older would be a shirt and robe that was my mothers. She died over 20 years ago and had worn them for awhile then.
