This Tip is basically a technique to use several of Tracfone's deals together to maximize your minutes.
Step One:
Go to Tracfone.com and order two of their reconditioned Nokia 1100 + 60 minute Airtime card packages for $19.99 each. It's the same price as just buying the phone by itself in the store.
Step Two:
Find someone to send you a referral for 120 free minutes. (You can do a Google search) You must do this step *BEFORE* activating the first phone.
Step Three:
After receiving the referral email, activate the first phone. Do it on the web and you'll receive a bonus 10 minutes.
Step Four:
Search the web and find the coupon code of the moment. (You can normally get an extra 30 minutes when you activate any airtime card.) Then go to the Tracfone website and use the code and your airtime card to get 90 minutes.
Step Five:
Repeat step Two through Four for the second phone, but send the referral yourself from the first phone's ESN. (You get 120 minutes anytime you refer someone.)
Step Six:
Enjoy! If all went well, you should have two Tracfones which cost you approx. $40... One with 350 minutes, the other with 230. That's approx. $150 worth of minutes for free!
I do this myself, using the phone with less minutes for business (I'm a pizza man, and a phone that won't hurt my feelings if it gets roughed up is an asset.) and the one with more for personal calls. When the business phone runs out, I buy a new one and repeat steps two through four again. I get another 120 minutes for my personal calls phone and keep the same number so it's easy for friends and family to call me.
I also save the phones when I'm done with them and donate them to charitablerecycling.com. They take the phones and refurbish them and make a donation in your name to the charity of your choice. And BONUS, it's tax deductible!
