Re: What is Enough!
Enough is too not argue with other people about my cats.
I am tired from arguing about how I can or cannot afford them.
If I think I can afford my five cats, then I can afford my five cats. People need to leave me alone!!!

Re: What is Enough!
I don't think about "enough". I generally look at what is "too much". I want to enjoy my life, not just live the minimum. To me, "too much" is when I do not enjoy the things I have because there is so much clutter, it takes too much of my time to try to use/figure out, and I just don't like it anymore, or haven't touched it or used it in a long time.
I want to be surrounded by things I use and enjoy. That is different for everyone. I enjoy my dog, I enjoy my musical instruments, I enjoy cooking and have several cooking gadgets, cookbooks, etc. On the other hand, my mother really enjoys knick knacks and antiques and her home is filled with these. But, she loves and enjoys them. So, keep the things in your life that you love and enjoy, the things that enhance your life in someway. Dump the things that make your feel stressed, annoyed, unhappy, or distracted. My house used to look like a giant cluttered mess. I always felt annoyed and irritated. Well, one day I just had enough and out the door most of that stuff went. I now enjoy my home, feel relaxed and spend more time doing the things I enjoy. So, I don't know what enough is. But, I do know when I have too much. That works for me.

Re: What is Enough!
I am not sure exactly where the line is but I crossed it.
I have enough space for my family, both to play and eat and sleep.
enough food for my family both the essentials (water 4 food groups) and fun (icecream!)
enough love..oh yeah I get lots of that!
enough health (dr if I need it)
the rest is fluff, luxury, and some of it can go, but hte rest I have trouble with!

Re: What is Enough!
I have been thinking about this topic today...and at the moment, I have 'too much'. I am in de-clutter mode and have made several trips to the dump and to goodwill...but there is still too much.
I am going to start seeing if the kids want any of this stuff...and if not, off it goes...
As far is stuff goes....I want to get 'down' to 'enough'....
Where money is concerned, I am not there yet. We have 'enough' to make it each month, but I won't be there until we have 'enough' for DH to retire...
As far a love goes....can one really ever have too much???? I think not!

Re: What is Enough!
My husband is always after me to buy clothes, shoes, etc. I have enough!! I know I get invited to a lot of parties and I don't dress as nice as the other women, but these jeans are just my style! I just don't want any more stuff!!(except fudge, you can never have too much fudge)

Re: What is Enough!
Recently I've been going through my house and cleaning out as though I were moving. I think, would I want to bring this with me if I moved? If the answer is NO, it goes into a yard sale box.
Ima Saver - I love what you said about clothes. My MIL made the comment that I always wear the same things, but so what? I don't care. I've got my "party" dress, and that's what I wear. It has been convenient for me to pare down my wardrobe, since I am a SAHM, but if I get this job that I applied for (hope, hope) then I will have to expand my wardrobe - can't wear jeans and t-shirts every day! But thankfully Goodwill is a great source of good quality clothing.
