It's worth it because I'm good at what I do and I like the people I work with. I personally think my time is worth a little more, but unfortunately, my age factors into it (not just my experience).
I agree with eisor. I am just kind of accepting whatever I can make right now, though I do believe my time is worth more, as I am very efficient and hardworking. But an undergrad degree in Psychology is useless for making more than $30k/year in those type of fields -- which is why I am starting my Master's degree! So when that is over with and I find a job, I'll be starting at more like $20-25/hr.
