My son needs a new cell phone. Now that the phone plans have changed how they do things, we are going to purchase one outright. Where is the best place to buy an iPhone? It can be new or refurbished, don't need the latest model.

You can get refurbs direct from Apple. You can buy used on ebay. You can also check a company like Experimac (experimac.com) that specializes in used Apple products if they have a location near you. I'm not sure if they do online sales. We bought a MacBook there and were very pleased.Steve

Prepaid such as Boost Mobile, Virgin, Cricket, Metro PCS. They sell new or refurbished. And plans can be had for $35/month. Good deals all around.Comment

There is really good stuff for iPhones in Amazon. The price is cheaper than the usual brand new pricing. It is second-hand but still works fine. Just be careful with a bogus seller.Comment
