NOAA Sent Me $2

I got a good laugh yesterday afternoon. There was a large envelope in my mail box. It was a survey from NOAA. More or less they want to know how I have been affected by severe weather and how much time I spend fishing. While looking it over, suddenly two $1 bills fell out.

The survey seems harmless enough, so I plan on completing and returning. If you happen to see a similar letter in the mail, don't just throw it away!

My mother-in-law used to earn small payments from NOAA. They set some meters up on her dock in the Florida panhandle. She took readings and sent them in to NOAA. I'm sure that must be done remotely nowadays.
