Does anyone know how I can get my account deleted on the forum?

Thanks kork and bjl. I sent a request.
I've had this account for 18 years, but never use it. Doing an account clean up and wanted to remove this one.

If you're worried about your online presents, even I think it's a bit overkill to be concerned with your account on these boards. That said I applaud you for keeping up with your login information, much less remembering the page after nearly two decades.

When I search your name the search doesn't go through, probably due to how short your name it is.

If they just ban your account, I know the previous information you've entered will still be visible. Search TexasHusker for example.

If it is a concern around content, I've seen where users have deleted post. With a post count of only 21, it might be a good 10 minute exercise for you.

If it is an email concern, you can change the email listed with your account under user settingl. I've never seen any spam emails from this site, but your email is still on a list and anything can be hacked or sold.

My personal opinion is it would be nice if sites in general cleared out old / inactive users after some period (5 years?). But you've just defeated my argument by coming back after 18!

Good job again on cleaning up your online footprint. I'd love to hear more details, but it is kind of like having a conversation with someone onboard a train while they are pulling out of the station and you're standing on the platform.

When I go to your profile, then click More Options (its a little tab), then About on the list, Find All Post is an option. I don't see anything remotely controversial (you discussed filing jointly in 2005 in response to a post by DS, big woop). But you can delete everything from that list fast enough i would think.

So that's my suggestion is delete your old post, change your email listed. No way to change the user name that I am aware of.

              Usernames can be changed.
It's an admin function via accessing the backdoor of the website.

I simply want to clear out any information about myself on any account that I no longer use. The fact that I cannot find any option to do this is a little baffling.

There are a couple of online services you might be interested in outside of removing your profile here.

As for the functionality of the forum, remember it's been around since 2004. I am sure they update stuff on some occasion, but I don't know of it being overhauled how some other forums I'm involved with have been.
