It's a great idea to buy or sell (or buy and sell) second hands stuff. You'll never pay anywhere near full price, and this is great for when you find high-quality clothing from brand names that you know and trust. The amount of savings will of course depend on the thrift stores near you – they're all different. And it's good to buy second-hand electronics too. A mid-range tech from any generation in the past few years can work fine. This applies to computers, phones, and cameras too. As an average IT person, a mid-range computer won't make a big difference, so a used computer is perfect.
