  • Happy thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish you all a happy holiday. I hope you get to enjoy some down time with family and friends. I am off today but have no plans. Just the 3 of us home for the day. We'll do a family dinner (not anything resembling a traditional Thanksgiving meal - I think the plan is to make tacos) but otherwise just do our own things around the house. My daughter is a supervisor for an online crisis intervention line and has a shift this afternoon so she'll be tied up for a couple of hours. Otherwise, just chilling at home.

    Enjoy!

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm at a family reunion/90th birthday party for my grandmother, and I'm about to get started with cooking everything for the big dinner (and the next couple days of leftovers). I love cooking (& eating) good food, so this is a fun holiday that I love to spend with family. Enjoy, and don't burn anything down deep-frying your "Turduckin"!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone here!

I am at work. Will be here for 18hrs until tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 when I am off
6 hrs off in the middle of the day to kill
A challenge since everything is closed today.
Guess I'll just exercise then come back to work

No plans for Thanksgiving anyhow as we just moved 1.5 hrs away.
My husband is home alone so worried about him a little until he emailed last night.
Someone is interested in our land for sale.

Arrived to work to receive a $300 bonus and informed of a $1 raise starting next pay period.
So it's a good Thanksgiving today even though it won't be celebrated until next week for us

Our son isn't coming until next week.
I assume tech support is open today but maybe he got an invite to thanksgiving, sure hope so

      .

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! We are celebrating at my in-laws today, just me, DH, our two boys and DH's parents. Small, but comfortable, and minimal driving for us!

                Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We made a traditional Thanksgiving meal at our home. DS was home with us. We saw the new Pixar picture Coco after Turkey dinner. (It was really good. ) We came home for a round of leftovers and then we went to see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri. Then, we came home for pumpkin pie.

Happy thanksgiving from Viva Las Vegas! Let me tell you all if you've heard rumors about buffet lines being super long on thanksgiving day, you better believe it! I'm currently at the M Resort and I would estimate that the wait time to get inside their Studio B buffet would be 2 to 3 hours. Ridiculous! And nope I'm not waiting in the long line. Earlier today I was at South Point and their buffet line was about an hour wait for lunch. No way would I stand in that line either. At South Point I ate at their Coronado Café, no line, getting a traditional turkey lunch for $14.99. M Resort has a $14.99 turkey special at their Vig Deli or a $20.99 turkey dinner at their Burgers & Brews restaurant as well. Gambling-wise I'm down $200, not too bad but not good either. I hope to turn that around after the Redskins vs Giants game which BTW looks like I'm set to win $40 on the total points being under 45.5 total points.

I'm a day late, but I too hope everyone had a great day.

Since it was just DH & me, we did not do anything special meal-wise, but it was a lovely day.

We had 2 extra-long walks with the dog to places she usually doesn't get to go, one with all 3 of us, and one just me and the dog.

DH & I sat down and had a fun "family business" meeting. We planned our vacation that we are taking the end of the year, and DH booked the hotel (using points and a promotion).

Also gabbed for hours on the phone with various family members spread throughout the country.

I'm off work today. DH & I have an appointment to sit down for another family business meeting, this time to talk about investments/retirement savings/retirement spending. Kind of "big picture" stuff but with a specific discussion about after-tax, tax-efficient investing.
