Smartphone recommendations for elderly parent

    I have elderly parents that have a smartphone. Definitely go with one you know. That way you can easily walk her through issues she has with the phone. This is a constant thing for me with my parents. Also make sure to get her a stylus she can use with the phone. My parents always struggled with the phone recognizing their touch. I can only guess cause their hands are always so cold

      I don’t advise buying high tech electronics used on ebay, unless you don’t mind continually buying them until you get one without a problem.

      I will buy a lot of things used, but smartphones aren’t one of them.

        Not saying you're wrong, but this is the complete opposite of my experience. We've bought probably 8-10 used phones off ebay over the past 10 years, and none of them had issues. Look for sellers with high ratings and read the buyer feedback.

          I liked the iPhone recommendation, if nothing else because iOS is fairly polished and bulletproof, but also because if they need help, there are plenty of people around who should know their way around that phone that can help them. Bonus if you are all on the iOS ecosystem as well.

          Otherwise, for what it's worth, AT&T also has a promo page dedicated to this subject matter.
