Do you coupon?

On a rare occasion I will use a paper or digital coupon that I can pair with a decent sale. However, it is uncommon to pair the two with something I actually would use.

I will always attempt to find a coupon code when I buy online.

By far the most common savings vehicle I usually use are rewards and rebate programs.

I used to be heavily into coupons and rebates when I had kids living at home at home and I also had the energy to shop at 3-4 grocery stores to get the loss leaders in combo with the coupons. At times, besides our local paper I would pick up the Cleveleand and Pitssburgh paapers for the coupons. It was worth it as many times the coupons were of different values and my stores were double couponing. I live near Erie, PA which was considered some kind of special place for bringing out new products and thus coupons.

These days though, if I get them for something I use whether with a coupon or not, I will use them but I don't work so hard for it as although I love to grocery shop, it takes the starch out of me and I have to recuperate when I get home and all the next day. I do use a lot of CVS bonus bucks and they send me updates on how much I have saved and it is usually $1000 over the course of a year. The last time I was at the store, I saved over 90%! I'm there so often that the staff knows me and when the pahrmacy staff is new I introduce myself and explain why sometimes I am just sitting at the pharmacy area (the only place with chairs). I never mind if they wait on someone ahead of me. I also get CVS surveys almost everythime I go into the store, some actually waiting for me by the time I get home! So I do try to get the good deals at CVS because I have to go and get refills every time I turn around, I'm there, but other stores, there is no guarantee when I can get there to match up coupons and store specials. I'm on the CVS customer survey panel as well that gives bonus bucks for completing surveys. One month I got $30+ in bonus bucks for doing them!
