    I'm just solidly planted in the camp of renting is a bad move and can't be swayed off that, short term renting or because you move often being the exceptions. I see it as throwing money away and have had this same view since the age of 5 when I already knew that I lived in a home that is owned and 2 doors down my best friend was renting, I didn't understand the money outflows but I did know the difference between renting and owning.

    I also believe the home you live in is an investment, for a lot of people it is the only way to save and have most their wealth in their home.
