  • WWYD...Albert Pujols 600th home run

Pretend you were at the game where Pujols hit his 600th home run. You catch that ball. Now what? Do you give it back...do you hold it for ransom?

Some 23 year old caught this ball and gave it back to Pujols asking nothing in return. Low estimates put the value at over $100k if he would have sold it.

Before you take the moral high ground remember this...theres nothing that states you have to return a baseball that reaches the crowd. Pujols signed a 10 year $240,000,000 deal. This is without endorsements! $100k is a joke to him.

I would have asked him to buy the ball back for whatever amount I could have got. Could have paid for my future kids college...could have paid off the remainder of my house, etc etc.

There is no moral or legal reason to return the ball.

I would put it up for auction and let him bid on it with everyone else.

I'd put it up for auction. baseball memorabilia is pretty meaningless to me. Even if I scored a cool $100 from auctioning something I got at a random game, that's good for me.

if albert really wanted that ball, he wouldn't hit it way out in the stands. Instead, he'd have popped it straight up in the air, and when the catcher got it, he could ask for the ball as a souvenir.
