  • Clark Howard

With the postings about certain 'personalities' on the forum lately, it came to my mind that I like Clark Howard. Even if his show is sometimes simplistic, his web site is an excellent resource of information. I also happen to like how he is so matter-of-fact and plain-speaking.

    Anyone else have an opinion?

Never heard of Clark Howard. Is he similar to Bob Brinker?

LOL... well, I've never heard of Bob Brinker... so I couldn't say.

If you visit his web site you'll see what he's all about. I'll Google Bob Brinker myself.

Loosely speaking, Brinker is an investment advisor, and Howard is a consumer advocate. I previously listened to Howard’s radio show when I played chauffeur for shopping. Simplistic ? Perhaps, but many people don’t seen to have a grasp of the basics and I’d say his website and radio show can be very helpful.

Love Clark Howard! Hehe...did anyone see when he was invited to the Today show? He went up there, found his own hotel arrangements for like 1/5 the cost of where the Today show wanted him to stay. He then on the show, showed people how to eat cheaper at fast food restaurants. It was a couple years ago when $1 menus were real big. He said to buy two $1 cheeseburgers and then combine them, and you'll have a double cheeseburger and save like 30 cents. The Today show hosts were like "Why go through that trouble?" It was quite funny.

But, Clark has some GREAT books out. You can get them from Books-a-Million for like $4 a piece.

Maybe I'm biased because I live in Metro Atlanta, but I like to listen to Clark's down to earth version of reality. So I'm a fan.

Now to investigate Bob Brinker?!?! Who I've never heard of but I like finding people who share adivce with the general public.
