  • Decided to pay off debt at another time and go on vacation.

My family has shocked me in the last 5 days with the planning of 3 trips in the next 3 months. First is the NYC trip in 3 weeks and then after that we are going to D.C. in the month of June. Then someone suggested taking a trip to VA for 4 days in August so looks like my plans of being out of debt will have to be once the summer is over. Mainly because I have to start paying on two of the trips.

So I asked myself do I say no to my family and get out of debt faster and spend all summer in my apt alone without going anywhere or enjoy the summer and get out of the debt before the year is over.

Since I am single and don't see my male friends anymore due to them being married, I have no choice but to have fun this summer. So looks like I had to make the decision to remove the debt at a later time

All of these trips came out of nowhere and didn't think they would be happening 4 weeks ago.

And I haven't been on a trip since the summer of 2013 and that wasn't a real trip just to an amusement park. So I say why not enjoy life a little and just pay off the card in the FALL when I know it won't be any TRIPS

Curious what the "saver" part of your screen name means?

It obviously means I save money while spending.

            I'll bite.

You have thousands in CC debt.

You are now planning to take trips you have the choice of passing on putting you more in debt.

            What exactly are you saving?

You have mentioned previously life can get in the way of saving an emergency fund. I will counter it is choices like this that do.

LOL, sure, but you didn't answer my question, what exactly are you saving?

Others may have given up answering your posts but I'm still getting a bit of comic relief from it, I'm a roast, baste me.

You seem like a goof but if u must know I save money off the top of every check

Now do you think I should take my savings and pay off debt and start from 0 again?

I don't think you should go on any trips until you pay off your CC debt, but we don't have a complete financial picture from you as noted in prior threads.

We are getting somewhere now though!

What is your net worth? How much in assets do you have? How much in liabilities? Totals, no debt is too small.

So stay in the house all summer and go nowhere?

I'd like to know this as well. Without this information we can't really help you or begin to give you any advice or opinions as to what you should or should not do with your finances.

Yes, because being RESPONSIBLE clearly isn't a choice for you.
